Due to the ongoing impacts of Covid-19, the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, FIM, BSI and the operator of PGE Narodowy stadium, PL.2012+, have decided to postpone the 2021 PZM Warsaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland, scheduled to take place on May 15, to August 7. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the new event date.
"This decision has been made with the health and safety of fans remaining our priority, and we also want them to have the best possible experience without capacity restrictions," said Michał Sikora, President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.
"The PZM Warsaw FIM SGP of Poland is one of the country's most eagerly-anticipated and world-renowned sporting events.
"In light of the impacts of Covid-19, we believe this move gives us the ability and time needed to organise an event of this scale and are now working hard to stage a great event for fans in August."
Paul Bellamy, Senior Vice President of Motorsports Events at IMG, said: "We are confident that this move will allow our partners to bring Polish fans the world-class event and racing action they have come to expect, know and love in Warsaw.
"We are incredibly excited to be returning to the iconic PGE Narodowy stadium with speedway's biggest stars in August 2021."
